TRAINING OF RETINAL SPECIALISTS AND THEIR SUBSEQUENT POSITIONS
During the period at Bonn and Tuebingen, there were since 1973 more than
300 ophthalmologists trained from 12 Eastern European countries and Russia,
North and South America, China, Kuwait, Egypt, Israel, Palestine, Iran,
Algeria, Lybia, Morocco, Turkey, Italy, France, Belgium, Brazil, Mexico,
Japan , etc. Many of them had become Head of Department for posterior
segment of the eye or Chairman of Department of Ophthalmolgy and many of
them had become the local organizer of the various teaching courses.
CLINICAL INTERESTSRetinal detachment surgery, diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration (AMD), posterior segment laser surgery, angiography, OCT, Medical Retina. Photodynamic Therapy (PDT) and application of intravitreal pharmacotherapy for various edematous and neovascular retinal/macular diseases. HOME
