At the Department of Ophthalmology, we are engaged in research to expand medical knowledge on eye disease, improve existing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and open up new scientific horizons in ophthalmology.

As professor, Professor Dr. Jost B. Jonas specializes in ophthalmology and teaches his subjects in all stages of the modular MaReCuM program. He is responsible for the individual performance certificate of ophthalmology in the clinical section and teaches, for example, in the 4th year of study in the module Age Diseases.
