UMM-Doctors & UMM-Scientists,
External doctors with a teaching position*

• Using the Library card, you can borrow items and manage your user account.
• The use of the textbook collection is reserved exclusively for students.

Note: Visiting doctors and visiting scientists employed here for at least three months will get a library card with borrowing authorization.

• Detailed information on how to search for books, journals, articles, theses, ...
• We offer EndNote-CDs for your bibliographic management.
  Note: Not possible for UMM-Doctors with clinic-contract without a teaching position.
• We order literature from other libraries for you if the Library does not stock the item you require or it cannot be accessed online.
• Electronic delivery of articles from the main library's print journal items and from the university library's print journals is possible via Document delivery service (LLD).

• Within the faculty network (which covers the library rooms) you can access a large number of licensed electronic resources (e-journals, e-books, databases).
• Access from outside the faculty network (including the network of the clinic) you will get with your library card.
  Note: Not possible for UMM-Doctors with clinic-contract without a teaching position.

• Printing, photocopying, scanning is possible with print credits by using the library card.
  Staff of the faculty (including UMM-doctors with faculty-contract and external doctors with a teaching position) don't pay for printing.
  UMM-Doctors with clinic-contract are given 3000 credits per semester.
  Photocopying is also possible by using your internal clinic ID or with a coin-operated copier.

• You will be given an overview of the Library in the Introductory seminar for new staff.
• Training courses of the Library: Literature search, Internet, PubMed, EndNote, Word.
• Training courses of the faculty: SAS, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• The TIV department of the clinic offers IT courses, which can be accessed within the clinic's intranet (in German).
