Gordian Kabelitz received a B.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering Science focusing on Biomedical Image Processing and Laser Medicine at Luebeck University in 2011 and proceeded with the consecutive Master course. He did a short term research at the Capetown University for low dose x-ray imaging. He received the M.Sc. in 2013.

Currently, Gordian is a PhD student at the Department of Computer Assisted Clinical Medicine of Heidelberg University. His research focuses on 2D-3D image registration for interventions and is part of the Research Campus M≤OLIE.

Gordian is an alumna of the Cusanuswerk (The Cusanuswerk is the scholarship body of the Catholic Church in Germany and awards government scholarships).
