MaReCuM

The Mannheim Medical Faculty of Heidelberg University was expanded to a full faculty in 2006 and has developed MaReCuM (Mannheim Reformed Curriculum for Medicine and Medicine-Related Professions), an extremely innovative and modern model course of study in human medicine.

Knowledge transfer in MaReCuM is characterized by a close interlocking of preclinical and clinical knowledge, which is taught in the form of integrated modules. The Department of Public Health, Social and Preventive Medicine leads two of these modules (Society and Health, Primary Care) and continuously develops them together with the corresponding teaching staff.

In addition, the department supports other modules of MaReCuM with various courses and is actively involved in the mentoring program.
