Dr. rer. nat. Simon Hubertus

Simon Hubertus is a PhD candidate at Heidelberg University, Germany. He received his B.Sc. degree in Physics at RWTH Aachen University in 2014 and his MSc degree in Biomedical Engineering with Medical Physics from Imperial College London in 2015. In his bachelor's thesis, conducted in cooperation with Philips Technology GmbH, he dealt with a novel imaging modality called Magnetic Particle Imaging (MPI). His master's thesis, however, focused on artefact suppression in Magnetic Resonance Imaging of metal implants including the implementation of compressed sensing. Since 2016 he is a PhD student at the Institute of Computer Assisted Clinical Medicine at the Medical Faculty Mannheim, where his research concentrates on the quantification of cerebral tissue oxygenation for MRI-guided radiotherapy.
