Carmen Ruiz de Almodóvar receives Consolidator Grant
ECAS' Prof. Dr. Ruiz de Almodóvar has received one of the prestigious Consolidator Grants of the European Research Council, for her project "The Oligo-Vascular Interface: Understanding its Properties and Functions". Almodóvar's group has identified an 'oligo-vascular interface', whereby vessels send out signals to directly control the generation of oligodendrocyte precursor cells. Her research will focus on the identification of molecular interactions between blood vessels and oligodendrocytes during development, homeostasis and in conditions of demyelinating diseases. more...
