Naomi Heyn

Naomi Heyn has been studying medicine since the winter semester 2018/2019 at the Mannheim Medical Faculty of Heidelberg University and is currently completing her final year of study, the practical year.

Since November 2024, she has been a PhD student at the Center for Preventive Medicine and Digital Health (CPD), where she is working on her dissertation on heat-related illnesses in outdoor sports.

Alongside her medical studies, she was a long-time member of the women’s national hockey team as well as the first-division team of the Mannheim Hockey Club, where she gained firsthand experience as an "outdoor athlete" relevant to the topic of her PhD project.
