Graduate Academy | Foundations and Organizations for the Promotion of Young Talent

In Germany there are 13 funding organizations for the promotion of young talent (Begabtenförderungswerke). These organizations are carried by different societal agencies (political parties, churches etc.) and all organizations award doctoral fellowships.

UMM | GRK 2727 | InCheck „Innate Immune Checkpoints in Cancer and Tissue Damage"

The DFG-funded Research Training Group GRK 2727 offers an interdisciplinary doctoral program focused on innate immune checkpoints in NK cells and monocytes/macrophages, with applications in cancer and tissue damage. Combining cutting-edge research, hands-on training, and international collaboration, GRK 2727 prepares students for impactful careers in immunology and translational medicine.

UMM | SFB 1366 | Vascular Control of Organ Function

The CRC 1366 “Vascular Control of Organ Function” investigates the critical role of blood vessels beyond circulation, focusing on their gatekeeper functions in development, homeostasis, inflammation, and disease. By studying organ-specific endothelial and mural cell differentiation, the research aims to uncover molecular mechanisms that regulate vascular control of tissue function and regeneration.

M²OLIE | Projects
