Sophie Busalt, M.Sc.

Sophie holds a bachelor degree in nurse education from the university of Ludwigshafen and a master degree in public health from the university of applied sciences in Fulda. For her master thesis she was voluntary working in the field with Medinetz Rhein Neckar e.v. and did some qualitative research with people without any health insurance. After one year as a study nurse in the ZISG in Mannheim involved in a project about phantom limb pain by Prof. Dr. H. Flor, she worked in the health department in Mannheim as a coordinator for the HHAP of Mannheim. During that time she participated as a co-author in a heat expert report for the health department in Germany and intensified her research about heat measurements and heat vulnerable groups.

Sophie joined the Department of Public Health, Social and Preventive Medicine at the Center for Preventive Medicine and Digital Health in November 2024.
