Innovation Days

Every year in January or February the STMM and the IMIM Masters‘ program offer an Innovation Day.

The main aim of the Innovation Days is to give master and doctoral students from the health science continuum (life science, medical technology, psychology, medicine and more), as well as other young researchers the opportunity to interact, network and explore new ideas with local start-ups and professionals from the entrepreneurship scene. Participants learn about entrepreneurship and receive first-hand information by the experts of patent and transfer organisations. Detailed schedules are available on the page of the specific year.

Innovation Day 2026

Join us for the Innovation Day on January 29th 2026!

Many exciting guests will be joining us for Innovation Day 2026! Participants will discover diverse roles in the start-up ecosystem, learn what it truly means to be an entrepreneur, and uncover what it takes to become a successful founder.

The morning kicks off with deep insights into entrepreneurship: Olga Belousova, Professor in the Department of Innovation Management and Strategy at the University of Groningen, and Georg Fischer, keynote speaker, coach, and entrepreneur, will take participants on an inspiring Entrepreneurship Journey.

During the networking lunch, participants can connect directly with speakers and representatives from local and regional science, innovation, and start-up networks – perfect preparation for the afternoon ahead: In the Fireside Talks session, diverse professionals will share their entrepreneurial journeys, offering both scientific insights and practical experiences on bringing ideas to market and thriving in the start-up world.
