The School of Translational Medicine of the Mannheim Medical Faculty, University of Heidelberg (STMM) is led by a Board of Directors with two academic directors and two clinical directors. The steering committee advises and accompanies the directorate in strategic decisions.

All members of the STMM (PhD students, other young scientists, etc.) meet at the General Assembly to discuss matters relevant to the members of the STMM and to introduce the STMM to new members. In addition, representatives of all groups involved are elected to participate in the meetings of the steering committee.
