The Industry and Innovation Days, March 13 and 14, 2025, were a great success!
Many exciting guests joined us for the Industry and Innovation Days 2025: participants had time to learn about different jobs and career choices, how to present, network and what it really means to be an entrepreneur. It was a great pleasure to network with all of the participants and speakers!
Thursday in the early afternoon, participants joined the workshop Next-Level Presentation Skills: Your Perfect Pitch, where they learned to structure and deliver clear, impactful messages tailored to their audience with Tarek Ehlail (Com Across). After that, they prepared for the next day’s networking during the Unlocking Opportunities Through Connection: The Science of Networking session with Dr. Lenka Kyjacova (Molecular Health GmbH).
On Friday morning, Georg Fischer, keynote speaker, coach and entrepreneur, took all the participants on the Crafting Tomorrow: The Art and Science of Entrepreneurial Innovation journey, exploring launching startups, essential skills like critical thinking, and debunking common myths about being an entrepreneur. In the Starting up from Science session the three emerging researchers and innovators, Dr. Larissa Niemeyer, Judith Stirn and Dr. Max Hammer shared their entrepreneurial journeys, offering scientific insights and practical experiences into bringing their idea to the market.
During lunch, participants practiced their new networking skills to talk to speakers and representatives of the local and regional science, innovation and start-up networks: hei_INNOVATION, Science Value Heidelberg, the Health + Life Science Alliance Heidelberg Mannheim and BioRN. The afternoon started with an inspiring talk on how to engage your audience, with Colin Bennett’s (Flames a Mile High) Psychology of Persuasive Presentations. The rest of the afternoon was dedicated to the different career paths of professionals from industry, clinics and academia: Dr. Nikolaos Deliolanis, Dr. Ivan Shevchenko, Dr. Hannah Krause und Prof. Gabriele Ende illustrated and discussed how they are making an impact by Translating Science to Application.
We kindly thank all the speakers, guests and organizers as well as Thermo Fisher for making the Industry and Innovation Days 2025 a success.
