Library



Access to libraries is from now on only possible for vaccinated, recovered and tested persons ("3G-Regel"). Certificates must be shown at the counter. Workstations must still be booked (see below). Short stays (e.g. for borrowing, validation of student ID etc.) are possible without certificate.

Opening hours as of 04.10.: Mon-Sun: 8am-midnight, Sat & Sun: 9am-10pm. There are 103 seats available. From Monday to Friday, UMM members can register via the workstation reservation (in German) from 8am - 1.30pm and/or 1.30pm - midnight. Sat & Sun the reservation is valid all day from 9am - 10pm.

Break: If you are leaving the library for a longer period of time, please leave your access card together with your library card at the information desk as usual.

Please show your electronic (or printed) confirmation of registration and your student card or employee ID card when you enter the library. If you do not need your reservation after all, please cancel it (in German).

Note: from 4.10. we will open again Mon-Fri at 8 a.m., the lunch break will be cancelled. Due to the courses of the beginning semester, the large PC room L-18 in the annex will no longer be available as a study room.

Borrowing media, handing in dissertations (until 5 pm) and validating student cards is possible with a short-term card on site without registering. It is still possible to have the media sent to you after ordering by e-mail for a fee, see Coronavirus information.

For the time being, the obligation to wear a mask at the workplaces has been dropped. A mask (medical mouth-nose protection) must still be worn when walking through the library. Jackets and bags may be taken into the library (baskets on request).
