Multispectral technologies for high throughput analysis of organotypical cultures

Graduate: Björn van Marwick

This study focuses on a proprietary scanning system (MIR) designed to operate within the mid-infrared spectrum. The system employs narrow spectral ranges with high chemical specificity, enabling it to perform analyses more rapidly than current state-of-the-art technologies (Fourier-Transform-Infrared-Spektroscopy; FTIR).

Data acquired from this scanner facilitate the chemical differentiation of sub-regions within medical samples through clustering techniques. The primary objective is to obtain high-resolution and high-contrast imaging to distinguish even minor chemical variations with precision.
