The Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) core facility is run at the Institute for Clinical Chemistry. It offers high throughput sequencing analytics with an additional focus on single cell sequencing as a service. All scientists of the University of Heidelberg, UMM, Medical Faculty Mannheim and Heidelberg are welcome.

The NGS core facility provides highly parallel DNA sequencing services based on the Illumina sequencing technology on a variety of instruments (NextSeq550 and NovaSeq6000), NGS library preparation, as well as single cell analysis using the technology from 10x Genomics.

Depending on your project requirements, we will assist or conduct the library preparation, perform the sequencing reaction and will provide the sequencing files. Additionally, we offer a bioinformatics support if requested, help with planning sequencing experiments and offer advice on projects.
