About the Lab
Jonathan Sleeman is Franz-Volhard Professor for Microvascular Biology and Pathobiology. The Sleeman lab is part of the European Center for Angioscience (ECAS). In addition, Prof. Sleeman is also associated with Karlsruhe Institute of Technology KIT and has an additional laboratory located within the Institute for Toxicology and Genetics ITG at KIT Campus North. Our research is conducted in both laboratories.
From 2014 to 2016 Jonathan Sleeman was president of the Metastasis Research Society. He also coordinated the EU-funded Framework Programme 7 Collaborative Project TuMIC (Tumor Metastasis Integrated Concept), and was coordinator of the EU-funded Framework Programme 6 STREP project BRECOSM (Identification of Molecular Pathways that regulate the organ-specific metastasis of breast cancer). He is Programme Director of the Master of Science programme Translational Medical Research at the Medical Faculty Mannheim and the Heidelberg component of the International Masters of Innovative Medicine.
