The Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft DFG is actively committed to equal opportunity and the equality of women and men in the German research system. The RTG 2099/2 has funding from the DFG specifically for the support of gender equality.
We will provide financial support for the following gender equality measures:
- Invitation of outstanding female researchers for national and international exchange and networking with the young talented female participants in the RTG program.
- Training to prepare female researchers to successfully plan and continue their career beyond their PhD period in academia or industry.
- Child care and measures to enhance the compatibility of study, research and family.
- Support of working mothers by offering them student assistance, a parent-child room and four free parking spaces in Mannheim.
- Support by technical assistance in case of long absence (illness, pregnancy).
We regularly offer workshops and talks with competent specialists and experts.
